Katharsis Feb. 26 '12

Chris Reimer 1986-2012

Heartbreaking news

Chris was an amazing artist, and a great guy. He accomplished a lot in his 26 years and we can take heart in the fact that he was able to tour the world doing what he loved: playing awesome music with friends. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. Read more about him here

This week's show was a tribute to Chris. I first met him in 2005 when he played live on my show with Beneath These Idle Tides and again in 2006 with Azeda Booth. Over the years I saw him play a few times around town with Azeda Booth, with Women, and as a solo artist. I always enjoyed catching up with him at these and other local shows. He was very gracious, down-to-earth, and humble; a super guy.

I am privileged to have known him, however briefly/peripherally, and to have been impacted by his considerable musical talent.
